The Collectives never retreat. They get
many of their technology from NEXUS, making them absolutely stronger
than the Project. They possess the VTOL technology that the Project is
searching for. Not knowing Nexus Intruder Program infested their
system, they continue fighting for NEXUS. Their stupidity eventually
leads to NEXUS giving up hope on them. The Project stolen many of
their technology and used it against them! The Collectives got wipe
out together with Project's Beta base by NEXUS nuclear missile.
